What's a passkey?

Your fingerprint unlocks a key Your device creates a unique cryptographic key for this site. Your fingerprint, face, or screen lock unlocks it — but the key itself is what signs you in.
It syncs across your devices iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, or your password manager keeps it in sync. New phone? Your passkey is already there.
Can't be stolen or phished Unlike a password, a passkey can't be typed, copied, or tricked out of you. It only works on the real site — fakes are ignored automatically.
